The short answer
The AI zombie trend is an emotional short film made from photos. One character turns into a zombie, but the person facing them chooses love over violence. The hug is followed by a bright memory of the relationship before the world changed.
Before you create
- Use two portraits or one photo of both of you.
- Photo 2 turns into the zombie; in a shared photo, the person on the right turns.
- Vertical 9:16 by default. Choose the model, length and resolution before rendering.
- Generation requires credits and an available AI service.
What is the AI zombie trend?
The story starts in an abandoned city. One person has turned; the survivor pauses, recognises the face they love and reaches out with empty hands. The two embrace, then the scene moves to a warm memory of happier days. The gentle transformation uses pale makeup and intact skin, with no weapons or threats.
Versions appear across short-video platforms with different captions, songs and people. What connects them is the same turning point: the survivor cannot treat someone they love as a stranger. Your own faces make that familiar plot personal.
Why recognition, the hug and the memory?
The initial hesitation establishes uncertainty. Recognising a familiar face turns that uncertainty into affection. The embrace answers the question of what remains after the transformation; the warm flashback shows what the characters remember.
How to make the zombie video
- Add the photos. Choose two portraits or one picture of both of you, then check who is in each role.
- Choose the effect. Zombie Story includes recognition, a hug and a warm memory, without weapons. Zombie shows a gradual transformation followed by a hug.
- Review the settings and cost. Select the available model, duration and format before signing in to render.
- Download your completed clip. Watch it through before posting; a failed render returns the consumed credits.
The song and the format
The intended soundtrack is a gentle instrumental score without dialogue. There is no single official trend song. If you want your own track, add licensed audio in your social app after downloading the video.
The default is a vertical 9:16, 12-second clip for Reels, TikTok and Shorts. You can choose a different supported length and aspect ratio in the studio. Longer clips cost more credits; the quoted cost updates before you generate.
Can I do it without a prompt or another app?
The Zombie Story preset already describes the sequence. You can make it in the browser without building a timeline in another editor. A separate editor is useful afterward if you want subtitles, your own song or a longer collection of scenes.
Photo tips
- Use a bright, front-facing portrait. Both eyes should be visible, with no heavy filters or sunglasses.
- Match the face size in both photos. A cropped head-and-shoulders image works better than a distant group shot.
- For one shared photo, put the survivor on the left and the future zombie on the right.
- Ask everyone pictured before uploading or publishing. Review the generated faces before you post.
What you get
- An AI-generated scene built around the people in your uploaded photos.
- The selected video length and aspect ratio, with the credit price shown in advance.
- A downloadable video to keep or share after you have reviewed the result.
